Products
2K PRO consists of three components: primer, stone and PU binder. Its components must not be combined with the 1K stone carpet system.
1 · Stone
Natural marble stone, 25 kg, without binder: 2–4 mm aggregate in six colors, 3–5 mm marble pebbles in two color blends.
2 · Binder
Two-component aliphatic PU: 1.5 kg for every 25 kg of stone.
3 · Primer – dry substrate
The system primer, 150–200 g/m².
Primer – for fast progress
Fast-curing PU primer: dry within 1 day at 20 °C.
Primer – with ground moisture
Water-based epoxy primer when ground moisture or dampness is suspected.
Edges
8 mm edge protection and closing profile for a consistent layer thickness.
Expansion joints
To divide surfaces larger than approx. 25 m².
System
On a primed substrate, at least 8 mm thick, mixed on site batch by batch.
Layer build-up
Water-permeable surface: it lets water through, so it does not replace waterproofing. On balconies and on terraces above living space, waterproofing is required underneath.

For an 8 mm layer. Each batch must be spread within 45–50 minutes (23 °C).

All values are guide values for a level, sound substrate, based on the VIRANIX Academy 2K PRO course and the manufacturer's data sheets. The 2K PRO calculator gives you the exact quantities.
Priming
The condition of the substrate determines the primer. 2K PRO stone carpet is always applied to a primed substrate.
Dry substrate (max. 5% moisture)

Used instead of the PU primer. Apply the stone carpet once VAPOGRIP EP 2K is ready to be overcoated (approx. 24 hours at 20 °C).

Applications
A system developed for outdoor surfaces exposed to rain, for both foot and vehicle traffic. For living spaces and walls, we recommend VIRANIX 1K stone carpet.
For outdoor terraces exposed to sun and rain, on a stable substrate laid to a fall.
On a waterproofed substrate: 2K PRO is water-permeable and does not replace waterproofing.
For outdoor surfaces exposed to rain, where water needs to drain away.
On stable, load-bearing steps, at least 8 mm thick, with edge protection profiles.
Open-pored surface: water drains through it instead of standing on top.
Also for vehicle traffic, at least 8 mm thick, after full cure; for outdoor parking spaces and indoor garages.
Systems
The two systems are independent of each other: they differ in material, primer and application, so their components must not be combined.
Factory pre-mixed marble pebbles with a water-based binder: simply stir thoroughly before application. For indoor and outdoor use, on floors and walls.
Layer build-up
Not suitable for substrates with rising ground moisture.
Mixed on site · aliphatic PUMarble aggregate and a two-component aliphatic polyurethane binder, mixed on site. An open-pored, water-permeable, UV-resistant surface for heavily used outdoor areas.
