Where to use it
Through its fleece carrier it bonds seamlessly with liquid waterproofing, so a continuous waterproofing layer forms over cracks and connections too.

Installation step by step
It is self-adhesive, so it can be applied quickly without tools. Good adhesion requires a dry, clean, sound substrate.

Prepare the substrate
The substrate must be dry, clean and sound. Thoroughly remove oil, grease, paint, cement laitance, rust, formwork oil and efflorescence, and roughen by sanding where necessary.

Fill wider cracks
Fill cracks wider than 3 mm with polyurethane sealant first.

Apply the tape
Peel off the silicone release paper on the back and press the tape firmly onto the surface. Press down the fleece side with a roller or by hand so that it makes contact at every point and no bulges remain.
Tipp Thanks to its soft structure it can be applied without bulges on recessed and protruding surfaces too.

Coat over with waterproofing
After bonding, coat the tape and the surrounding surface with 1 or 2 coats of liquid waterproofing to form a continuous waterproofing layer.
Figyelem CRACKBAND is intended for static cracks and connections. Moving expansion joints require the DILITAPE expansion joint tape.

Is it suitable for moving joints?
No. CRACKBAND is intended for static cracks and connections. Moving expansion joints require the DILITAPE expansion joint tape.

Do I need tools?

Which waterproofing products can it be combined with?
With liquid waterproofing products, for example AQUASHIELD PUR UV-1K or the acrylic waterproofing AQUASHIELD ACRYL UV-1K. Through the fleece carrier it bonds with them into a single layer.
What should I do with wider cracks?
Fill cracks wider than 3 mm with polyurethane sealant first, and only then apply the tape.
Can it be plastered over?
Yes, plaster can be applied directly onto it.
At what temperature can it be applied?
Between +5 °C and +35 °C.
